Clarifying Dizziness Remedies

Dizziness is also known as vertigo and is a sensory health issue or sensation. People usually describe this as illusions that move, or motional illusions. Basically such illusions are not hallucinations and are disruptions in vision due to loss of balance and motion impairments.

This sensation is felt after abrupt standing up when you feel lightheaded or like about to faint. This issue is treatable and preventable at all times, so it does not pose a health danger.

Dizziness Causes

As a main and primary cause, dizziness stems from inner ear problems. The balance sensors inside the inner ear are affected and linked to the brain balance sensors, so both work in harmony to determine movements in the head.

Other causes are dynamic changes in blood pressure, sudden movements, inadequate blood flow (which is not a serious health issue), and also sometimes low blood sugar levels due to hunger or other causes.

How To Help Yourself OR Someone Else With Dizziness?

There are many things to consider for dizziness prevention and treatment. Most of them involve proper nutrition, hydration, rest, holistic advice and movements or maneuvers to relieve this condition. Be sure to find out what helps dizziness. With a little patience and experimentation, you will be able to find something that works for you!

Try Epley Maneuver Movement

Make sure to sit at a bed edge and relax. Turn the head by 45 degrees to your left, and nearby the shoulder. Get a pillow and place it under your body, lie relaxed and the pillow rests between your shoulders, not the head.

Now fast lie down on the back and keep the head to 45 degree angle. The pillow stays under shoulders, hold still like this for 30 seconds with head turned to right. Then stand up slow during 5 minutes. Start again in opposite side.

Also try Semont maneuver

Similar to the Epley. Start at the bed edge and with head turned 45 degree angle. Lie down to the left side and hold this for 30 seconds. Then fast switch a side to the other end of bed, head stays the same position. Slowly return to start, perform this few times daily.

Half-Somersault OR ‘Foster’

People claimed this method is the easiest for them, however is not broadly known. Try to reach the floor with the head, so tuck in the chin and move the head between knees. Wait half a minute and turn head to the side of dizziness. Wait half a minute again and fast, raise the head. Stand up slow and do more repetitions if needed.

Lastly, Try The Brandt-Daroff

Sit upright on a bed and tilt the head 45 degree as far as you can reach. Then, lie down and point the nose upwards. Do this for 30 seconds and expect relief. Then move back as you sat and repeat with the opposite side. Do this few times daily for more than 1 day.

Activity And Resting Time

It is crucial to know when to move and when to rest. Constant fatigue, lack of sleep, disturbed sleep or insomnia contributes to dizziness more often. If you have energy from night sleep, you can be energetic, have a focused and sharp mind and can exercise too.

For prevention, raise the head on two or more pillows, whatever feels most comfortable. Then get up and stretch. Also avoid too dark or too light hallways in the house. And, remember to always take time to stretch and rest before you leave the bed.

Homeopathic Advice And Nature

Try to find some alcohol pads in health stores. They are sniffed and bring relief along with removed nausea. If you cannot find them in stores, purchase them online. Also, lemon and citric fruits remove nausea and dizziness too, so have lemon juices, lemon oil in diffuser, lemon aroma therapy and even lemon chunks near the nightstand.

If you follow homeopathy lifestyle, purchase Conium, Ambra and Iodine, Bryonia, Ferrum metallicum, Causticum, cocculus, Cinchona, Aconite, Natrium salicylicum, Theridion, Rhus toxicodendron, Phosphorus, theridion, and Argentum nitricum.

Act Fast In Case of Dizziness Episode

If you want to try relieving before you consult a doctor, have a place to sit and rest nearby at all times, sit down slowly, rest and sip small sips of water. Sniff lemon and citric scents, avoid at all costs physical movements like working out, driving and such. These activities can hurt you since you lack balance and focus.

Regain consciousness, and for the future, change the lifestyle habits, stop smoking, be more hydrated, have more organic foods and less unhealthy.
